What Is A Magnetic Drill Press?

Drilling Capacity

This image shows the clearance between the Weldon chuck and the working surface (bottom of the drill). With 7-5/8" clearance there is enough room for a 6" annular cutter.

This image shows the distance between the working surface (bottom of the drill) and the bottom of the drill chuck. At only 4-11/16", larger drill bits will not fit.

Mislead By Other Reviews

Controls

This image shows the control panel for the Vevor magnetic drill press. It shows the main power button labeled as the "magnet switch" and the on/off buttons for the drill. The speed control is the dial at the top of the panel.

This image shows 4 of the 5 adjustment screws for the slide rail. This adjusts how much friction there is which controls how well the drill head moves.

Magnetic Base

Let’s Talk About The Issues

Safety Issue

This image shows how the safety strap is used when mounting the drill horizontally or even upside down. This is needed because if the magnet were to lose power, the drill will fall. The strap prevents the fall.
